Housing Hand reports another successive year of double-digit growth, proving the value of trusted partnerships amid market uncertainty

UK rental services provider Housing Hand has revealed another successive year of strong, sustained growth. The firm’s year-end results reveal revenue of £4.2M in the year to June 2025 – a 37.7% increase on 2023-24’s £3.03M, which was itself a 49% increase over the previous year’s revenue.

 

In the midst of rental market uncertainty, Housing Hand’s double-digit growth emphasises the importance of trusted partnerships. These will be particularly relevant over the coming years, as accommodation providers navigate the changes the Renters’ Rights Act is introducing.

 

In addition to tight collaborations with key partners, fundamental factors such as Housing Hand’s 100% payout record for all valid claims enable the business to support the private rental sector to derisk and strategise with confidence.

 

Continued product evolution also underpins the company’s success. For example, over the past year Housing Hand’s testing of its new digital Accommodation Provider Portal has improved its payout speed from 25-28 days to 21-27 days, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the market.

 

Housing Hand’s holistic approach to supporting the rental sector encompasses services for accommodation providers of all shapes and sizes, including landlords of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) providers, Build to Rent (BTR) operators, universities, letting agents and more. During the past year, it launched the first of several services designed specifically to support accommodation providers navigating the new landscape introduced by the Renters’ Rights Act. A-Void™ helps landlords navigate the potential challenges of students leaving their accommodation early, at no extra cost to tenants or landlords. Covering all Housing Hand student customers, it covers up to three months’ rent at 50% of the cost where landlords serve a Ground 4A notice.

 

The successes of the past year also saw Housing Hand drill deep into renting in the UK, with c. 1,700 renters responding to the firm’s in-depth survey, resulting in its Understanding Renters in 2025 report. The report’s findings revealed crucial gaps and vulnerabilities in renters’ financial literacy and inspired the launch of a new digital health and wellbeing service, provided entirely free to any renter using Housing Hand as their guarantor. Encompassing video and telephone GP appointments, mental health support and a range of information, advice and guidance, the service, delivered in partnership with HealthHero, in association with Gallagher UK, is designed to support renters with a wide range of issues.

 

Anonymised, aggregate data from the health and wellbeing service shows that it is already making a difference. Renters are using it around the clock, with a notable spike in evening consultations and with 23.1% of users booking consultations at the weekend, highlighting the importance of the service being available outside traditional GP surgery hours. So far, 86.5% of appointments have resulted in a care plan agreement, along with advice for 10.8% of users to see a GP face-to-face and 2.7% to contact an external therapist or multi-disciplinary team.

 

This focus on inclusive support and helping renters by giving more has long been at the core of Housing Hand’s approach. The firm has well-established partnerships with 65 universities around the UK, 41 of which include specific arrangements for care experienced and estranged students.

 

Looking ahead, Housing Hand has several innovations primed to reveal during 2026, as it continues to help renters and accommodation providers adapt to shifting market conditions. Already working with partners around the world, in support of the UK’s thriving international student rental community, the firm anticipates this to be a key area of expansion moving forward.
