At Housing Hand, our primary mission has always been to help students and young professionals secure a stable home so they can focus on what matters: study, work, and life.
But that focus on security and opportunity extends beyond finding renting and guarantor agreements.
We’re proud to support the Better Future Collective’s partnership with Sneh Girls Shikshan Sansthan in Rajasthan, India. This school provides free, high-quality education in a safe and nurturing environment for girls who might otherwise be left behind.
In the area of Luniyawas, near Jaipur, many young girls face barriers to going to school: household duties, financial hardship, and societal expectations. The Better Future Collective is working to change that story, offering girls an opportunity they might not otherwise have.
For example:
- Roshni, 8 years old, lives in a family that survives on day labour but dreams of teaching others about the environment.
- Achuki, 6 years old, studies in grade 1 while her mother and grandmother work to make ends meet
- Rekha, 13 years old and in grade 6, works hard at school while supporting her siblings
These stories embody resilience, potential and the importance of safe, supportive environments.
Why this partnership matters to us
At Housing Hand, our work has always centred around giving people confidence and security at key moments in their lives, whether that’s moving into a new home, studying abroad, or starting a job in a new city.
That same principle is what drew us to support The Better Future Collective and the girls at Sneh Girls Shikshan Sansthan. Because at its core, this initiative isn’t just about education: it’s about stability, safety, and the chance to build something better.
For us, it’s a reminder that the idea of security takes many forms. In the UK, it might mean helping a student secure their first home or supporting their health and wellbeing through university. In India, it means helping a young girl feel safe in a classroom where she can learn freely and plan her future.
What this means for the girls
Thanks to our continued sponsorship (alongside Better Future Collective), we’re helping to provide:
- Free tuition, stationery, uniforms and transport for girls whose families struggle financially.
- A stable schooling environment, where girls attend confidently and consistently.
- A ripple effect of change: when a girl is educated, her family, community and future ripple outward.
One of our own sponsored girls, Lavanya, is shining. She’s 10 years old, passionate about nature and plants, boasts the highest attendance and dreams of working with wildlife. Her family faced pandemic-related hardship. Now, her prospects are brighter.
What this means for our mission
For accommodation providers and partners working with us, this commitment isn’t just a feel-good story. It’s a representation of how we approach risk, support and value.
- Mitigating risk: Just like we build safeguards in our guarantor services, we believe in building safety nets in society.
- Supporting wellbeing: Our tenants have access to 24/7 wellbeing support. Our sponsored girls have secure schooling.
- Building trust: Our partners know we stand by our commitments, whether that’s paying out valid claims or sponsoring education.
How you can be part of it
At Housing Hand, we invite you to join us in this shared commitment to safety, opportunity and change because actions in one part of the world reflect values everywhere.
